Coral Drug and Treatment Formulary

The formulary is reviewed and updated approximately every six months by FRTRP collaborators. Information included in the formulary is provided voluntarily by participating institutions and practitioners and is largely based on anecdotal observations and field experience. While every effort is made to maintain accuracy and relevance, not all the information has undergone formal scientific validation.

The SAFE Coral Program retains all rights to the content, organization, and formatting of this formulary and assumes no responsibility or liability for its use by others or for any outcomes resulting from its application. 

This resource is provided to encourage continued investigation, documentation, and knowledge-sharing regarding the drugs and treatments used in the long-term care and management of corals. By making this information available, the SAFE Coral Program aims to support collaboration and advance best practices in coral care and welfare.

The Coral Drug and Treatment Formulary is a collaborative resource developed by the SAFE Coral Program's Florida Reef Tract Rescue Project (FRTRP). This living document catalogs drugs, therapies, and treatment protocols used in the care and health management of Western Atlantic and Caribbean coral species involved in Florida’s coral rescue and conservation efforts.
